Almost all important sights and places to visit are in walking distance such as churches, museums, the lake, and of course don't forget about the famous shopping street ("Bahnhofstrasse").

How to get to Zurich
Public Transport: Zürich Main Train Station is a central railroad junction in Europe and handles more than 1.900 trains per day. Intercity trains run regularly, often every half hour from other Swiss or European cities to Zürich.

Within the City of Zürich and Zürich Region there are rapid transit trains (S-Bahn) running every 15 to 30 minutes. Buses and streetcars run every few minutes.
For travelling in Switzerland we recommend rail passes by Swiss Travel System.
By car:
The center of Zürich can be accessed easily from all directions. Just follown signs for Zürich which ever way you might come into Switzerland. Exits and routes for the city center and all other important destinations are well sign-posted.
Please be aware that parking is an issue and even though it is expensive, it's recommendable to use official parking lots and pay for it. (Having your car pulled away by police is nothing you want to deal with in your holiday.)
Other/Air: From Zürich Kloten Airport you will reach the center of Zürich City by train or S-Bahn (rapid transit train) within 12 minutes.
